Our Rail Division recently completed a major rail rehabilitation and construction project for Archer Western in Stella, NC. The project included demolition of two existing railroad trestles that total 2,650 TF in length, demolition of 3,800 F of existing railroad track structure for access to bridge sites, replacement of 32,038 EA crossties, flash-butt weld rail into CWRstrings, construction of approximately 6,500 TF of new track across bridges/approaches/access locations, embankment construction for raised elevation of new bridges, storm drain installation, subballast installation, complete rehabilitation of 28 miles of track, installation of 43,870 TN of ballast stone, surface/line/dress 28 miles of track, and installation of asphalt/rail seal grade crossing
